Overview​

The Crypto Market app is a comprehensive cryptocurrency tracking and news aggregation tool integrated into the Lazarus Tools. It provides real-time market data for the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, along with the latest crypto news from trusted sources. The app is designed to give you a complete overview of the cryptocurrency market at a glance.

1. Real-Time Cryptocurrency Data​

The app displays the top 20 cryptocurrencies with the following information:

  • Ranking: Market capitalization ranking (#1-20)
  • Coin Information:
    • Cryptocurrency logo/icon
    • Full name (e.g., Bitcoin)
    • Symbol/ticker (e.g., BTC)
  • Current Price: Live USD price with appropriate decimal precision
    • Prices under $1 show 4 decimal places
    • Prices over $1 show 2 decimal places
  • 24-Hour Price Change:
    • Percentage change with color coding
    • Green with up arrow for positive changes
    • Red with down arrow for negative changes
  • Market Capitalization: Total market value formatted as:
    • T for Trillion (e.g., $1.2T)
    • B for Billion (e.g., $543.2B)
    • M for Million (e.g., $123.4M)
  • 24-Hour Trading Volume: Total trading volume in the last 24 hours

2. Search Functionality​

  • Real-time Search: Filter cryptocurrencies instantly as you type
  • Multi-field Search: Search by cryptocurrency name or symbol
  • Case-insensitive: Works with uppercase or lowercase input
  • No Results Handling: Shows empty state when no matches found

3. Live News Feed​

The news section provides:

  • Latest Crypto News: Up to 8 most recent articles from Cointelegraph
  • Article Information:
    • Headline/title
    • Brief description (150 characters)
    • Source attribution
    • Time stamps (e.g., "2 hours ago", "Just now")
  • Direct Links: Click any news item to read the full article
  • Reverse Chronological Order: Newest articles appear at the top

4. Market Overview Widget​

A dedicated section showing:

  • Total Market Cap: Overall cryptocurrency market capitalization
  • 24h Volume: Total trading volume across all cryptocurrencies
  • BTC Dominance: Bitcoin's percentage of the total crypto market cap

5. Auto-Refresh​

  • Automatic Updates: Data refreshes every 60 seconds
  • Last Updated Time: Shows when data was last fetched
  • Manual Refresh: Click "Try Again" if data fails to load

How to Use​

Accessing the Crypto App​

  1. Log into Lazarus Tools
  2. Look for the "Trending Up" icon in the sidebar
  3. Click the icon to open the Crypto Market app

Viewing Cryptocurrency Data​

  1. The main table displays all cryptocurrencies automatically
  2. Scroll horizontally if needed to see all columns
  3. Hover over any row to highlight it
  4. Data updates automatically every minute

Searching for Specific Cryptocurrencies​

  1. Click on the search bar at the top of the app
  2. Type the name or symbol of the cryptocurrency
  3. Results filter instantly as you type
  4. Clear the search to see all cryptocurrencies again

Reading Crypto News​

  1. News appears in the right sidebar
  2. Click on any news article to open it in a new tab
  3. Articles show:
    • Full headline
    • Brief description
    • Source (Cointelegraph)
    • How long ago it was published

Understanding the Data​

Price Formatting​

  • Prices are shown in USD
  • Small values (< $1): 4 decimal places for precision
  • Large values (e $1): 2 decimal places for readability

Price Changes​

  • Green text with arrow = Price increased
  • Red text with arrow = Price decreased
  • Percentage shows 24-hour change

Market Cap & Volume​

  • T = Trillion (1,000,000,000,000)
  • B = Billion (1,000,000,000)
  • M = Million (1,000,000)

  • Failed Data Load:

    • Fallback message directs to CoinDesk
    • Prevents empty news section

Troubleshooting​

Data Not Loading​
